The Parallel & Distributed Computing Centre (PDC Centre) was set up to provide support for teaching as
well as for research in parallel and distributed processing. It was the first in
ASEAN to be equipped with the IBM Scalable PowerParallel System. Other parallel
and distributed computing resources available in the laboratory include a
16-node Myrinet connected cluster system with SYSTOLA cards, a
6-CPU Sun
Enterprise 3500 SMP system and a network of Sun BLADE , Sun ULTRASPARC,
Linux
and Windows NT/2000/XP workstations.
